Normal Shader Family
These shaders are the most basic shaders for Unity. They are not specialized in any way and should be suitable for most purposes. They are not suitable if you want your object to be transparent, lightmapped, etc. They are a great starting place for learning how to alter the properties of Material. They are also useful for opaque, non-reflective objects like plastics or wood, or if you don't have access to a tool that creates Lightmaps.
Vertex Lit
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
Diffuse
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
Specular
Assets needed:
- One Base texture with alpha channel for Specular Map
Bumped
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
- One Bumpmap normal map, no alpha channel required
Bumped Specular
Assets needed:
- One Base texture with alpha channel for Specular Map
- One Bumpmap normal map, no alpha channel required
Parallax
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
- One Bumpmap normal map with alpha channel for Parallax Depth
Parallax Specular
Assets needed:
- One Base texture with alpha channel for Specular Map
- One Bumpmap normal map with alpha channel for Parallax Depth
Decal
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
- One Decal texture with alpha channel for Decal transparency
Diffuse Fast
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
Diffuse Detail
Assets needed:
- One Base texture, no alpha channel required
- One Detail grayscale texture, no alpha channel required
